Sister María Clara del Santísimo Sacramento (fl. ca. 1650–1700 in New Spain). She is believed to have composed “Cuaderno de Tonos de Maitines,” which was found in a unique notebook carrying her name. As such, her compositions would be the only palpable evidence of a creative work by a nun from New Spain.

A compilation of over ninety works by diverse composers, including sets of versets in all eight psalm tones in a variety of styles.
