“Easy Play-Alongs for Saxophone” is an off-shoot of the “Magic Saxophone” series. Edited and arranged by Barbara Strack-Hanisch, an internationally performer and professor of saxophone at Vienna’s University of Music, this volume offers a great mixed selection of pieces suitable for beginners and intermediate players.
This edition includes printed piano parts as well as recorded accompaniments on a CD that, for some pieces, features a live band. Highlights of the album include Elgar’s “Pomp and Circumstance No.1”, Beethoven’s evergreen “Für Elise” and the instantly recognizable “Flintstones” theme tune. Suitable for UK grades 2-4.
