Faber, Phillip: Sicut Cervus (SATB div. a cappella)

This piece is written as a comment on Palestrina's masterpiece and an attempt to shed a different light on the text from Psalm 42. The water plays a minor part, depicted in the pulsating structure bars 32-40, as the piece revolves around themes of longing, desperation and doubt. All dissonances should stand out as equal parts, adn the text is intended to be sung in Italian.
