Released in 2022, Underwater was the highest streamed classical album of the year, landing at number 19 on mainstream streaming charts and number 14 on the Global TikTok Chart with 7 million users soundtracking their life to the album.

His first full solo piano album in 20 years, Underwater was written as a statement for when the world was quiet and silent. Working without any distractions or the usual commitments that come with his busy schedule, he said “I felt a sense of freedom to abandon myself and to let the music flow in a different way. I didn’t have a filter between me and what came out of the piano, it felt very pure.”
